So Long! Time for an Update....

Wow, its been a long time since I've posted. So it's time to get all caught up...

December was a crazy month, emotions all over the place again, not getting enough sleep, realizing that I need to take better care of myself or my health is gonna go backwards, and that my priorities need to change.

So now its Christmas time and our family was all getting together at my parent's house again in Windsor - something we've all been looking forward to for months. Unfortunately, this Christmas was too similar to last Christmas with the fact that most of us were sick AGAIN. Last year it was the stomach flu, this year it was a fever with chills and a bad cold. What is this, a new tradition for us! Anyway, regardless, this Christmas was extra special cause it was Evan's first Christmas! We all enjoyed him even though he was really sick too. I didn't get to hold him and play with him much as I was trying really hard NOT to get sick. Averil was thoughtful and bought me a HUGE bottle of hand sanitizer which I used constantly over the holidays. Here's a picture from Christmas morning of Mark with Evan and me with my Chewie. Here's another picture of me and Chewie resting on the kitchen floor together. I love Chewie so much, I cherished the time I got to spend with her and I spoiled her with presents hehe And another picture from Christmas day of cutie Evan with his awesome new ride on Dump Truck from Grandma and Grandpa, with Chewie, me and Grandpa (Dad) in the background:

After Christmas was finished, us kids all headed back to our homes and I had to work 3 days before new years. Honestly it was kinda sad coming back to lonely London after having time with the whole family, but such is life. New Years was pretty good hanging out with some friend's ringing in the new year.

So now its January 2011. This is the time when I was just suppose to be returning from missions in England; hard to believe how life turned out to be so different than was planned. But I do know that God has brought me here to London to serve Him and it's definitely time to put England and my OM experience behind me in the past where it belongs.

I've set a couple goals for this coming year. I want to spend more time in the Word of God, growing closer to Him-I'm starting out by reading one Psalm a day, and studying through the book of Galatians. Next, I need to spend more time taking better care of myself: cooking more, eating healthier, taking the time I need quietly at home to regain my strength, getting more sleep etc. This year I've got to get my mind and my body on a healthy track so I can move forward with greater things in the future.

This winter I've taken on the project of making my apartment more like home - I'm reorganizing, re-setting up and redecorating my place so its a more homey atmosphere to be in. I think this will help me with getting my mind and body strong and healthy.

Let me leave you with these verses I read last night from Psalm 90:

Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? Have pity on your servants! Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us-yes, establish the work of our hands!
