Song of the Week

This has been my song lately.

He cries in the corner where nobody sees
He's the kid with the story no one would believe
He prays every night, "Dear God won't you please...
Could you send someone here who will love me?"

Who will love me for me?
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me?
'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means

Her office is shrinking a little each day
She's the woman whose husband has run away
She'll go to the gym after working today
Maybe if she was thinner
Then he would've stayed
And she says...

Who will love me for me?
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me?
'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means

He's waiting to die as he sits all alone
He's a man in a cell who regrets what he's done
He utters a cry from the depths of his soul
"Oh Lord, forgive me, I want to go home"

Then he heard a voice somewhere deep inside
And it said
"I know you've murdered and I know you've lied
I have watched you suffer all of your life
And now that you'll listen, I'll tell you that I..."

I will love you for you
Not for what you have done or what you will become
I will love you for you
I will give you the love, The love that you never knew

Reverse Thinking

A colleague of mine forwarded this video to me on Friday. It's awesome!!! It was definitely worth watching, forwarding and rewatching.

Watch it all the way to the end.

The British Store

So today I visited Mrs. Bridges British Bakery here in London, ONTARIO haha. It was really neat to visit and to remember the different foods that I ate while I was in Carlisle, and the different brand names that England has.

Kind of fun to think that when I lived in England I visited the Canada Store in London, England, and now that I live in Canada I'm visiting the British store in London, Ontario!

It was fun to go down memory lane for a few minutes. The guy at the store said they had a delivery coming in soon and would have 17 different types of crisps so I'm definitely going back to buy some of their "interesting" flavoured chips and share them around the office. Everyone here in Canada always gets a laugh out of the outrageous British flavoured chips - flame grilled steak and onions, thai sweet chicken, roast ham and mustard, roast chicken, builders breakfast, crispy duck and hoisin, Cajun squirrel, chilli and chocolate, prawn cocktail, Worcester sauce... and the list goes on!

I did go ahead and splurge and picked up a couple things that I really enjoyed while I was there!

Tonight.

I was spending some time with the Lord this evening as I was driving back from Windsor. And I came to the realization that it's never too late to pursue a goal - specifically a goal that you set out to accomplish but got distracted from. It's never too late to start over. With daylight savings tonight, it almost seems like a new season, and the song Tonight by Tobymac came on while I was praying and thinking about all this, and I thought, wow that's true. Tonight. I can start tonight. I hope that encourages you. Enjoy the song.

Everytime I try to go in alone I get shut down,
Locked up and held captive in the clutches of my down

I wanna feel a new day - There's gotta be more than this
I wanna live a new way - There's gotta be more
I wanna feel a new day - There's gotta be more
I wanna live a new way - There's just gotta be more

Right here, right now
Under the stars, I promise You my heart
Cause it starts tonight
We wanna rise,
We wanna touch the other side
It starts tonight
We wanna soar
We wanna reach right out for more
Cause it starts tonight!
